Retrophilia?!
This thing is a beauty, it sews like a dream! It does come as a surprise to me as well but after testing driving more than a handful of newer and older Singer models… I must say I am absolutely impressed by her -- this 1970's Singer Diana 360 Electronic sewing machine. She is so cool!
There are some typical yellowing and dings for it's age, but I LOVE the super smooth and quiet running, the more powerful motor and the all metal construction that feels sturdy and durable.
And *poof*, I have an FO already.
It's a shorty dpn holder made with a pair of old brown jeans, the lining is just plain cotton from Ikea. This is actually my first machine sewn FO, all my the rest either never got finished or they were finished by hand. So, please just don't look too closely ;o)

Are you going to put a number on each one so you know what size they are, or do you know that already. I love the way you recycle the old jeans too, it looks very neat.
Nice finish ! Love those dpn too!
What a great first sewing project! I need a case like that! Can't wait to see what else you do with the new machine.
I have been wishing for a sewing machine and my idea was to sew knitting holders. Your case looks nice with the purple trim. The baby knits from the previous post is lovely!
Your case looks gorgeous!!!! Me am so jealous! XD
Bloglines didn't notify me of your two previous posts so I missed them. Your Diana is quite a stately creature. Look foward to all the sewing that you're going to do. The EZ cardigan is so cute. I'm sure she looks cute in it. Ohh, Claude is a very pretty cardigan.
A cool sewing machine. It looks like it is a simple one, don't have too much sewing stitches pattern. I like it. Where do you get it ?
What a great idea! I finally bought a sewing machine myself and I hae been making some things too. This case might be my next project!
